Mission: This is a brand identity exploration for an imaginary Irish pub. I set out to create a logo for the restaurant that best showcases the fun in storytelling. Welcome to Twisted Tales Tavern!
The Stag: The stag holds a lot of significance in Irish mythology. It symbolizes power and personifies spiritual enlightenment.
Blue: This blue or a lighter shade is often seen in old traditional Irish manuscripts. It is also associated with healing.
Red: A deep red is associated with the origins of a lot of Irish folklore, specifically the red stag which represents nobility and honor.
Yellow: A warm yellow is a good indication of the power in thought as well as the prosperity, healing, and growth derived from the sun.
Irish Manuscript: Below is an example of a traditional Irish manuscript. I gained a lot of inspiration from these through my use of color and border design.
Triskele: The triskele is often used as a Celtic symbol to indicate motion and evolution. Often times Irish mythology emphasizes the importance of the number three, which is also associated in the triskele symbol.
